“Bua Chu” Project is carried out to bring a new perspective on the talisman. In addition, this project also creates a satirical meaning to highlight recent social issues, thereby raising people’s awareness to take a positive look at the issues.
With a brand-new design inspired from the combination of fresh modern colors and drawings combined with the mysterious traditional talisman, the project creates a wide range of artistic products that are not only joyful but also satirical, conveying a meaningful message to raise society-related problems through mantras, illustrations on the talisman with the hope of creating a better lifestyle in the modern world.
The "Bua Chu" project utilizes the core elements of a traditional charm, which is haunting and somewhat confusing, to give birth to a new kind of charm with more captivating stories. With contrasting color combination and intentionally folded paper textures, the "Charm" shows the ancient mixed with the modernity of the design with illustrations, colors and typography. Hopefully, with "Charm", viewers will have an interesting, fun and deeper understanding in order to discover many intriguing stories behind.
